P&F Association
Parents of current students are encouraged to become involved and participate in this worthwhile parent network.
Objectives
- To provide liaison between parents and friends and the College executive.
- To provide opportunities for parents to get together socially.
- To assist the College with events and give financial assistance for various projects and initiatives.
- To establish an active parent network so that all parents feel that they are welcome, have support and assistance and are a part of the College Community.
P&F Clubs Supporting Our Boys
Some of the boy’s extracurricular activities have specialist clubs under the P&F umbrella whose role is to enrich the experience of the boys.
These include:
Cricket | Football |
Basketball | Performing Arts |
Rugby |
Parents as well as school staff are involved in the organisation and running of these activities. Some clubs hold their own specific fundraising initiatives.
P&F Events
To keep up to date with P&F events and how to purchase tickets read the P&F section in the SPX APP and Woodchatta each week.
Each year we hold the following main events for parents and families:
Event | Approximate Scheduling |
---|---|
First Day Parents’ Morning Tea | Term 1 (February) First day of school year |

**The Trivia night is the only event which is a fundraiser with the proceeds raised donated back to the various clubs to fund their activities. This is a fun evening and is usually very enthusiastically attended by parents and the College staff.
Class and Year Representatives
Activities are also held for specific class or year groups that include: morning teas, drinks, dinners, picnics, etc. Look out in your email, Woodchatta and APP for notice of these events.
How your P&F contribution makes a Difference
P&F funds provide real benefit to the College and students. Social functions like the commencement mass, annual cocktail party, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day breakfasts, which bring hundreds of parents together as a community, are subsidised by P&F funds.
Also, these are just some of the school and extra projects that have been funded either in full or in part by the P&F in recent years.
- Sporting club grants for equipment and specialist coaching
- Purchase of camping/hiking gear
- China tour
- Science Forum attendance
- Robotics equipment
- Air-conditioning unit
- Performing arts initiatives including instrument purchases
- Capital works at Oxford Falls and at Chatswood.
Meetings
There is a General Meeting held each term, and an Annual General Meeting in November.
Meetings are held at the College, normally in the Sarto Centre located on the corner of Daisy & Anderson Streets Chatswood. Meetings start at 7.30 pm and are normally finished by 9.30 pm. All are welcome.
At each meeting the latest news and information is shared by the following people where appropriate:

In addition, at each meeting, there will usually be a keynote speaker will give a presentation on a topic of interest or concern to parents, eg raising teenagers, drugs, alcohol, cyber security, elective subject choice etc. If you would like to suggest a topic please contact the President, by email ahead of the meeting.
